Cheap Flights Frankfurt to Seychelles 2026 — Fares, Airlines & Best Time to Book

Frankfurt to the Seychelles is a genuine tropical long-haul with a real advantage from Germany: a non-stop that reaches Mahé in about nine and three-quarter hours. This guide covers who actually flies it, when the direct flight runs, what the connections really cost against it, and when to book.

Fares from Frankfurt to Seychelles (EUR)

The Seychelles is a year-round beach destination, but fares track German holiday demand and the islands’ seasons. The high season peaks over the European winter (December–March, dry and sunny) and the summer holidays (July–August); the quieter shoulder months are the best value. The table below tracks that demand pattern; for money, use the measured figures underneath it, because the cheapest fares almost always come on a Gulf connection rather than the non-stop.

Two sets of numbers, and they say different things. A live fare check on 5 August 2026 — the 100 cheapest economy returns, hand baggage only, for departures between August 2026 and January 2027 — found a floor of €574 and a median of €692, with nothing above €844. Separately, our longer-run tracking of this route (88 recorded observations, hand baggage) puts the everyday level far higher, near €960, with a good return around €540. In other words the market we can see right now is unusually soft, and anything under about €600 is worth taking. Note the split: the cheapest non-stop in that sample was €692, while connections started at €574.

Airlines on this route

Non-stop (about 9h 45m out, 10h 15m back):

• Condor — the long-standing non-stop leisure operator, flying Frankfurt → Mahé with a wide-body Airbus A330. It held most of the non-stop fares we found, from €692, but the schedule is seasonal, so check your dates.
• Discover Airlines — Lufthansa Group’s leisure carrier flies Mahé from Frankfurt on a seasonal schedule: twice weekly through the winter season, and for the first time also across the northern summer, from late June to late September 2026, on the A330-300. Worth knowing when you search: its flights are sold under Lufthansa codes, so the booking may never say Discover. Its fares in our check ran €696–€844, the premium end of the non-stops.

One-stop (year-round, and cheaper in our check — 12–14 hours on the quick routings):

• Qatar Airways via Doha — the price leader by a distance, holding more than four in ten of the cheapest fares we found, from €574 with a median near €614 and a total journey around 13h 40m. Some of these itineraries are ticketed under a partner airline’s code, so check who is actually operating before you book.
• Etihad via Abu Dhabi — barely behind on price (€581–€742, median €609) and quicker at about 12h 25m. The Abu Dhabi–Mahé leg is operated by Air Seychelles.
• Emirates via Dubai — the fastest connection we saw at about 12h 05m, though only one Emirates fare made the cheapest hundred, at €691.
• Turkish Airlines via Istanbul — around €712–€716 and roughly 13h 40m in our sample.
• Ethiopian Airlines via Addis Ababa — flies the route as well, but none of its fares appeared among the 100 cheapest we checked.

The connection was the cheaper option throughout our check, but by less than the usual advice suggests: €146 on the medians, and €118 comparing the cheapest of each. For that you add three to four hours to the journey, and the slowest connections in the sample stretched past 23 hours. If your dates line up with the direct schedule and the gap is near the bottom of that range, the non-stop is easily worth it.

When to book & how to save

• Book 3–5 months ahead for peak winter and summer-holiday travel; the seasonal non-stops and premium cabins sell out early.
• September was the cheapest month we could measure — 56 of the 100 cheapest returns departed in September. Bookable dates only reach about seven months out, so May and June could not be priced here; they are traditionally shoulder months, but we make no fare claim for them.
• Match your dates to the non-stop schedule if you want the direct flight — it runs on limited days, so flexibility helps.
• Compare a Gulf one-stop for budget travel; in our check Qatar and Etihad both priced below every non-stop, and Qatar alone held more than four in ten of the cheapest fares.
• Check baggage and fare type: Condor’s cheapest fares strip out checked bags and seats — price the all-in fare against the full-service one-stops before booking.

Arriving in the Seychelles

Flights land at Seychelles International (SEZ) on the main island of Mahé, about 10 km south of the capital, Victoria. There’s no train, so onward travel is by taxi (roughly €20–€30 to Victoria or the nearby resort beaches, agree the fare first), a pre-booked hotel transfer, or a hire car for exploring the island. If your final destination is Praslin or La Digue, you’ll connect by a short domestic flight or the inter-island ferry from Mahé. The local currency is the Seychellois rupee (SCR), though resorts often quote in euros.
