🌍 About Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Strip isn't actually in Las Vegas — its 4.2 miles of casinos sit in Paradise, an unincorporated town the hoteliers created in 1950 to dodge city taxes. For the real city, go downtown to Fremont Street, the older, cheaper, neon-lit original under a canopy of LED screens. Vegas long outgrew the buffet cliché: it's now a serious dining town, with outposts of nearly every famous American chef, so the move is one big restaurant booking, not the all-you-can-eat line. Come March–May or September–November, when days sit in the 70s–80s and the pools are open. Avoid July and August outright — desert heat routinely tops 40°C and turns the Strip into a furnace. Winter is mild but pool season is over and nights get cold.
