🌍 About Chongqing

Chongqing is China's hotpot capital, and the local version is *málà* — numbing Sichuan peppercorn plus chili oil, cooked in a divided pot so you can dodge the fiercest broth. It's also a genuine mountain city built on cliffs where the Yangtze meets the Jialing, so the streets stack vertically: a building's 1st floor and its 22nd can both open onto a road.
