🌍 About Glasgow

Glasgow is where Oasis got signed — Alan McGee caught them at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in 1993, and the venue still books new bands nightly. It was the UK's first UNESCO City of Music, so live gigs on a Tuesday are normal, not an event. Glasgow also claims to have invented chicken tikka masala (at the Shish Mahal curry house), and a curry here is genuinely a thing to do. Spend your time in the West End around Kelvingrove — the art gallery is free and the museum café sits under a pipe organ played at lunchtime. Come May–September for the mildest weather and long northern evenings; July–August are warmest at around 18°C. Rain is year-round, so pack a jacket whenever you fly.
