Burbank is a working-studio town in the San Fernando Valley, and the honest reason to come is the Warner Bros. Studio Tour — a real 110-acre backlot you walk through, past soundstages, the Central Perk set from Friends, and prop vaults of DC and Harry Potter gear, not a theme-park mock-up. Disney's headquarters is here too, but the lot is closed to the public unless you're a D23 member, so don't plan around it. The genuinely useful fact for a flight deal: fly into Hollywood Burbank (BUR), not LAX — security runs 10–20 minutes versus an hour, and you're already in the Valley. Skip July and August, when the Valley bakes well past the coast. January is mild and the cheapest month to fly; spring and fall are the comfortable sweet spot.
