🌍 About Beijing

Beijing is a city of grand scale and quiet hutong intimacy in equal measure. Walk the vast paving of Tiananmen Square into the Forbidden City, where vermilion halls unfold one after another, then climb Jingshan Park behind it for the view back across the golden roofs. The Great Wall snakes over the hills at Mutianyu within easy reach, and the Temple of Heaven's circular hall is a masterpiece of symmetry. Lose yourself in the grey-brick lanes around the Drum and Bell Towers, where courtyard homes hide teahouses and tiny bars. Order Peking duck carved tableside and folded into thin pancakes, slurp zhajiangmian noodles, and brave the skewers and snacks of the old street stalls. Imperial history and street life sit side by side here.
