🌍 About Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh sits where the Tonlé Sap and Mekong rivers meet, and the riverside promenade is where the city actually gathers at dusk. One practical note: flights now land at the new Techo International Airport, opened September 2025 about 20 km south of the city — further out than the old airport, so budget extra transfer time. Come November to February for dry, relatively cool days; March to May is punishingly hot, and June to October is the wet season.
