🌍 About Seville
Seville is the home of flamenco, and the place to feel it isn't a theatre but Triana, the old potters' and sailors' quarter across the Guadalquivir, where ceramic workshops still line the streets and the weekend market under the bridge sells tiles made a few doors away. Don't miss the Real Alcázar — a working Mudéjar palace the Spanish royals still use, with the carved courtyards that stood in for Dorne in Game of Thrones. The dish to order is espinacas con garbanzos, spinach and chickpeas spiced with cumin, a Moorish holdover served hot as a tapa. Come March–May or October–November for warm days without the furnace. Skip July and August — Seville regularly tops 40°C and is one of the hottest cities in Europe. April is lovely but Semana Santa and the Feria de Abril spike both crowds and fares.
