Manila has the oldest Chinatown in the world — Binondo, founded by the Spanish in 1594 and still the best place in the city to eat. The other half of the story is Intramuros, the walled Spanish colonial quarter, where San Agustín Church (finished 1607) was the only building left standing in the district after the 1945 bombing.
