The walk worth doing is Bondi to Coogee: 6km of clifftop past five beaches and the ocean pools cut into the rock at Bronte and Clovelly, where you swim in the sea but out of the surf. Eat Sydney rock oysters, a small native species that's brinier and creamier than the usual Pacific kind. Skip the crowded Bondi cafés; the coffee's better in the inner west.
