Copa runs the longest free stopover in this series by a distance. Turkish gives you two nights, Qatar four, TAP ten days. Copa gives you up to 15 days in Panama at no additional airfare, on the outbound or the return. What it does not give you is a bed — like TAP, the hotel side is a discount network.

What Copa actually offers

Copa’s own wording: make a stopover in Panama at no additional airfare, for a 24-hour to 15-day stay, on your outbound or return trip — and it applies to new bookings only.

“New bookings only” is the line that catches people. If your ticket is already issued, you cannot retro-fit a free stopover onto it. This has to be decided while you are buying the flight, not afterwards — the same shape as Qatar’s rule that the hotel must be bought in the same transaction as the flight.

Copa’s discounts are the steepest in this series. TAP’s partner hotels run 10–20% off; Copa publishes 48% at Central Hotel Panama Casco Viejo and a five-nights-for-three deal that works out at 40% on a longer stay. If you were going to pay for a hotel anyway, that difference is real money.

Beyond hotels, Copa lists discounts on tours and activities — typically 10–15% — covering canopy tours, Casco Antiguo walking tours, Colón Free Trade Zone shopping trips, and multi-day packages to San Blas and Bocas del Toro.

We checked that before citing it.

One caveat we are flagging rather than hiding. That site’s own copyright line reads 2024. The page is served live today and the offers read as current, but we cannot show a 2026 review date for it the way we can for Turkish or Emirates.
